Pie Palooza - October 18th: A Sweet Celebration for a Healthier Community

Fall in Bailey just got even sweeter! We're thrilled to announce Pie Palooza, a fun-filled (and pie-filled!) community fundraising event that brings us together to celebrate local spirit while supporting an important cause.

Get ready for an afternoon of homemade pies, laughter, and connection. Whether you come to bake pie, taste pie, buy pie at the auction -- or simply cheer on your neighbors, Pie Palooza is about community—and who doesn’t love a good slice of pie?

🥧 Why Pie?

Pie is a symbol of comfort, home, and togetherness—and that’s exactly what we’re building here. Proceeds from Pie Palooza support the ongoing efforts of the Platte Canyon Health District Committee, which has been working for over two years to bring local healthcare access to our community. While the path hasn’t been easy, with ballot access twice denied, we remain committed to making healthcare a reality in Platte Canyon. Events like Pie Palooza help us raise the funds we need to keep moving forward.

👩‍🍳 Calling All Pie Bakers!

Do you have a family recipe everyone raves about? Or maybe you’re ready to try something new and creative? Sign up to bake and share your best pie at Pie Palooza! Here’s how it works:

✨ If you’d like your pie to be judged, bake two of the same pie—one for tasting & voting, one for auction.

✨ If you’d rather just contribute to the auction, you can bake one pie (not judged, just auctioned).

✨ Pie categories include: Fruit, Cream, Savory, Other, and of course—Celebrity Pies!

💙 Silent Auction

While the highlight of this FREE community event on October 18th, is, of course, the pie competition, tasting, and auction, there’s another sweet way to support our mission — the Pie Palooza Silent Auction, which opens today and runs through Saturday, October 18!

We may have a small but mighty selection of items, but every bid helps us raise money to bring accessible healthcare to the Platte Canyon Area. So please — bid early, bid often, and bid generously!

Not a baker? No problem! Come enjoy the event and sample pies and bid on a pie to take home! And if you can’t bake—or can’t make the event—you can still make a difference. Donations of any size go directly toward helping us cover legal fees and costs tied to bringing healthcare to Platte Canyon.
