A 100% volunteer, community-led group has submitted a proposal to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) to establish the Platte Canyon Health Service District to improve access to healthcare in Northeast Park County. This proposed district aims to bring a sustainable, community-supported health district that ensures residents have local access to primary care, urgent care, mental health care and essential medical services closer to home. The district must first be approved by the Park County Board of County Commissioners before going to a public vote in November.
